JakeTheRoyal Danny Danny Danny Danny, Danny Carrico. Oh we'll miss your sweepy legs, and when Hammond said, that you can't come around hear no more it was a sad sad day. I should've torn my season ticket up oh but it's a durable plastic

Just won the final with sevilla, fair play to the lad.
Can't help but think we should have kept hold

Wouldn't surprise me if he gets a call up to the national team too.

I think McDoughnut really messed up here. Not playing a talented player just because he doesn't fit in with an ancient style of football, well done mate.

Double Europa League Winner and now playing Champions League football next season. Played well in the final too. Oh well...at least we kept Guthrie for the remainder of his contract

Don't really think we had a choice other than to let him go when we got relegated. Would love to know why he played so few games in the Prem though. He looked class against Liverpool.

Indeed....just another in the long list of decent players we have signed to much fanfare, who then find it difficult to fit in at RFC.

One thing that did annoy me about McD. Several promising players he signed didn't seem to get a proper chance. Guess you never know what is going on behind the scenes but shit on the pitch couldn't have been much worse.

It's pretty clear that he simply wasn't fit when we had him in the PL and he was never going to slum it in the Chumpionship with us. He did look quality in his cameos, but he also looked totally incapable of playing a full match.

Unlike Pog he was determined to play at a high level, and unlike Pog was good enough to command a move to do it.

I think McDermott got plenty wrong, but this one should be put down as 'shit happens sometimes'. We took a gamble on his fitness and we lost. Simple as.

Fair do's, though I'd say it's a pretty big gaff signing a player who can barely play when we desperately needed to bring someone in who would make an instant impact.

Carrico is the man he is today because McDonut dragged him off at half-time against West Brom. He always had an eye for a top class player.

Can't argue with that. But let's face it, compared to signing Pogrebnyak on megabucks or Akpan or Blackman, or Ferdinand, Knight or Yakubu, or Drenthe it's a work of genius.
