maffff Any chance it's at Wycombe because we're laying a new pitch?

No. The OS report was very specific - we are trying to build ties with Wycombe and to use Adams Park for our U21 home games.

The slow decline begins ....

Norfolk Royal All very well, but there are material differences as well. For instance, we own our stadium whereas Coventry/Wasps, do not. That makes them a sort of franchise, but we are not.

Not really. For all intents and purposes Wasps now own the Ricoh (it's a 250 year long lease on a peppercorn rent). In my view most overseas owners of football clubs see them as franchises which can be traded and sold when they want to. I'm not saying our position is identical to Wasps, but a lot of other people's comments do make sense when you put it into a similar context as the Wasps situation.

Is it too early to start getting worried about the lack of early signings?

I thought Clarke said he was not going to have a holiday and was going to do his business early.

From the lack of news recently from the club it seems like he's been on holiday for the past month.

Given that SC was anxious to do business as early as possible and not be caught waiting into July for much activity things are starting to get edgy with the apparent nothingness in terms of signings.

Still like this by the time the fixtures appear (17 June) then alarm bells will start ringing.

Minimum requirement is a couple of strikers, a keeper, centre back and some experience in at left back.

So far we're realistically linked with Wes Foderingham and David Bruno having shown no interest in, or missed out on, players like O'Donnell, Luongo, Gladwin etc.

Can't believe we didn't go for Gladwin! I know QPR are taking a massive risk especially if they do not go straight back up, surely that is what it is about though taking a calculated risk to try get up for next season and the extra tv money!!!

Renewed my ST yesterday, regret it already, wonder if can get a refund :?

That really p*ssed me off. How do they manage to make so many signings? Would absolutely LOVE to see them fold. Easily my most hated team.

Using capitals doesn't enhance your point, it makes you look like an idiot, well considering the content of your post I wouldn't be surprised. The Thais stopped us going into administration, sure they're silent but it's a damn sight better than the outspoken Russian who put us in this mess.

The reality is, until we get our wages fully under control our budgets are always going to be limited, I would imagine we'll make some free transfers, low fee transfers and 2 or 3 loan signings, even if we wanted to spend more, our hands are now tied by FFP, at least for one more season. Next season the limit increases to losses of £15m a season and a maximum of £39m over 3 seasons, as long as we can consolidate this season, next season onwards we'll have much more leeway to improve the squad.

FFP is a joke when you look at what QPR are doing - they clearly expect to get away with it .... whereas for us, it isn't a joke. The truth is - if we want to be a well-run club, regardless of FFP, we don't have any money for transfer fees - end of. We are losing money - and we can't afford to lose any more. It's a pain - but it looks like this is the legacy of being in the Premier League (and in our case with a loony owner) - i.e. that you end up with an unsustainable wage structure.

You boys do realise that paying transfer fees have a pretty negligible impact on profits (and hence FFP) right? Any money spent on buying players just goes straight onto the balance sheet and only hits the P&L through amortisation which on a yearly basis will be only a fraction of the cost.

The true killer for FFP is high wages. Which unfortunately is exactly what we're saddled with. Hence why we're not chucking money at out of contract players.

Far too inexperienced. Doesn't track back well. Goes missing in games. Head drops as well. Personally I think QPR are taking a massive punt. As not a player to gain you promotion at the moment.

Some of you lot are a joke! Moaning we haven't signed players, yet we are still in bloody may! Give the man a chance! Nobody really knows anything about the financial structure with the Thais and have no idea on transfer budgets! So what if the Thais are quiet? They have so far saved our club, paid off all the debts the idiot Russian got us into, invested in a new training ground and have gone on record with Nigel Howe saying they will give us money to spend this summer!
Basically, give it a break with all the ridiculous conspiracies, moaning and negativity and stop making our fanbase look worse than it already is.

....but without their negativity and scorn ( agree btw Ice )

Their lives would be reduced to chasing the me me's, their sob stories, some random bodies birthday and telling themselves what they had for lunch ( hi Jamie) on AE

Absolutely spot on Winchester. You have nailed the present problem, not fees but inherited wages.

He's got a point though, strap. The season hasn't even ended, and people are moaning about next. At least reserve judgement until there's some movement in before the constant doom and gloom.
