Congratulations on the first couple of mentions of the run-in, always one of the favourite cliches of the close season

Pepe the Horseman Should we bring inflatable day forward then?

Or just have Deflateable Day

Away to Blackburn last game of the season. Memories of 2006-07. What a game that was.

msmivie Prepare yourself for a HOME game to start the Championship season on Saturday 8 August.
Absolutely guaranteed!
The Royals never play at home on the weekend of the Reading Pop Festival, which this year will be on 29 August (the fourth weekend of the season). So it has to be at HOME on Sat 8 and 22, and AWAY on Sat 15 and 29.
Put the date in your diary.

You're a fucking idiot.

First season in 20 years where I haven't even bothered to get excited or look at the fixture list.
I love Reading Football club to bits but lack of transfer activity or talk of any signings and no ambition from the club has meant that I can't be arsed to renew my season ticket (along with my 2 x son's and 4 mates!!!)

We are victims of our own success, if you have been going to games for more than 20 years, you should realise things aren't that bad.

^ This. You want to have been around in 1988 (relegation), 1989 (just missed out on relegation), 1990 (just poor to utterly indifferent), 1991 (sea of transition) as an ST holder...

I don't understand this tough start/tough run in bollocks.

As it stands we are more than capable of getting dicked by every team in the league, and I'm convinced we will do our utmost to ensure that.
