Sky Bet League One side Wigan Athletic are closing in on a deal to sign Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu, according to Vital Wigan.
Robson-Kanu, 26, is a Reading academy product and has only had two spells away from the club at Southend United and Swindon Town, and has made 169 appearances in his Royals career.
HRK’s an international for Wales, where frustration grows over his fantastic performances for his country due to his poor form with his club.
Despite playing an integral part in Reading’s FA Cup run to Wembley last season, but his form in the league was less than adequate.
Cardiff City and Wolves were also after his signature, but a £2.5 million price tag scared them off.
They see ‘HRK’ as their ideal replacement for James McClean, who completed a move to West Bromwich Albion last week.
Reading wanting £2.5m is a bit
