linkenholtroyal For Ireland who usually gets picked out of Pearce and mcshane or do they usually partner each other, just a direct comparison as they do play for the same team who does Ireland rate as better??

NewCorkSeth I recall a mail sent into the football 365 website saying that Paul McShane was the type of footballer that makes people believe that anyone could be a premier league footballer. Then it turned out he holds the vast majority of his secondary schools athletic records (not saying much in Ireland)

I'm imagining that was intended as a compliment ?
I'd love our team to be full of players like that. Much better than aspirational male models, fashion designers and frustrated rappers.
The key bit obviously is he was playing in the Premiership.....

McShane still miles ahead of Pearce.. We all think McShane is shit but nobody back home has ever heard of Pearce outside the handful of caps he's gotten..

One of the enigmas of Pearce is no one truly knows what nationality he is, throughout his career he has been English, Scottish and now Irish.
