All keepers make mistakes, probably fewer than outfield players but of cause a keeper's mistake can result in a gift goal as Feds demonstrated on several occasions. Training ground is completely different to a real match just ask HRK who must show promise on the training ground to be selected but then sadly rarely delivers in a RFC match. With increased competition for places it might inspire players to hit their full potential.

He spills like 3 shots in his Watford Highlight reel, a highlight reel. I think he will be decent just seems it could be a flaw to his game

He's had more to do in five mins than Al Habsi did the whole first half.

I don't like it when he spills shots.

Is Al Habsi your new No.1? Class signing if he is

He's just on trial, and even if he signed he'd need to show he was better than Bond. He certainly wouldn't be signed as No 1.
Your definition of 'class' is interesting.

Always looked decent when I saw him play in the Prem. The six replies above yours state he had better game than Bond. I must confess I didn't really pay attention to Wigan last year.

Interestingly none of the posts say he was better than Bond ! One says Bond will make the odd error (and when we took Ali on trial initial comments made much mention of his being prone to the odd gaffe too), one says Bond had more to do.
Anyway, if he signs he'll be a decent experienced keeper to back up the promise of our youngsters. We've been spoilt here with exceptional keepers and Ali would have to go some to match Federeici and Hahneman. If he signs I hope he does very well of course....

I meant no offence by my comments mate. I have relatives and a couple of mates who are all Reading fans. I would like you to do well. I personally haven't seen anything of Bond. so won't comment on him. If Al Habsi does sign, don't be too surprised if he start as No.1 for the sole reason Clarke favours experience. If Bond is as good as you say then it's great because You've got competition for first place goalie

Absolutely no offence was taken !
Always interesting to hear an 'outside' perspective.
Will be interesting to see what Clarke's preferences are, not just with the keepers. He selected a number of youngsters last season, and given we have a really good Academy I suspect he'll be hard pushed not to use players based on more than just experience.
Look out for names like Kuhl, Fosu, Stacey and Tshbola - stars of the future !

It does seem to be taking an inordinate amount of time for Al Habsi and agent to agree terms with Hammo, is he demanding to be number 1?

More likely he just has other irons in the fire. Why should he jump at the first deal offered?

I'd like to think he feels some obligation now that he's had a nice trip to Thailand with the team  ...
