Oster on the right wing.

I think Andy Legg was also played as a left winger sometimes?

Hector and McCleary both started for Jamaica v Haiti in the Gold Cup.
They won 1-0 and now play the USA in Wednesday's semi-final.

Are we expecting McCleary and Hector to come straight back after the Gold Cup, ready to play against Birmingham, or are they being given extra time off as they have been in competition for most of the close season ?

I should think they'll miss the first two weeks of the season at least, won't they?

Both Hector & McCleary start, the latter has been booked.

Impressed with the way Jamaica saw out the last half hour - away from home in first semi-final, remember.

McCleary and Hector played very well in the 2nd half. Thought Hector tried to win the ball from behind too much in the first half and could have been booked. McCleary didn't get much space or ball in the first half. Neither involved in the goals.

Jobi was typical Jobi - cutting across his man to win a free kick; getting into promising positions and then playing the ball backwards.

Mexico will beat them in the final I reckon. But good experience for our lads. Did they play against the Argies in the CDA?

Would love it if we bought Giles Barnes back to Engerland. Was quality at Derby before his career stalled through injury. Seems to have sorted himself out now, and got a decent scoring record in the States.

Hector played a great game last night for Jamaica, McCleary was his usual self, a little bit in and out of the game.
Why did we let Jobi go? he also played well. Must give credit to all the team as well but I was interested in how "our" boys played

I, and probably Danny Williams, would have been a lot more excited about it if they hadn't knocked out the US. But both of them have been excellent the whole tournament so far.

I'm just not sure why it was a major upset for the US to lose to Jamaica. If they go on past meetings then yes but on paper this Jamaican team were only slight under dogs if that.

Probably because USA are ranked 34 and Jamaica 76 in the world
