Drenthe?

There were loads of rumours about that, then he confirmed it about a week before the club did.

Did we have some sort of sell on in the McCarthy deal? Any money incoming from the McCarthy to Palace deal?

Can't believe he's 25 already, not so 'up-and-coming' any more and time is running out for him to fulfil his potential. Unless he's been guaranteed first team football, it'll be a poor move.

Don't you just love this cocept of being 'guaranteed'first team football.

I'll be amazed if there is such a contract:

'regardless of whether you are in form or whether we have a better keeper in our squad you'll be first choice, is that ok?'

Can't see it myself.

Steve Sidwell - told he'd signed by some ladies sitting next to me at the time in the Upper West (mother and daughter combo)

He has at least 10 seasons left on him, maybe closer to 15. In no way is "time running out".

Agree that he should be playing first team football but I think he's better than Speroni and Hennessey... then again, a year ago he was better than Green.

Coming here as cover is hardly going to help his match fitness.
If he's Not match fit he's no good to us anyway.
