From the BBC...

by Snowball » 19 Aug 2015 08:57

No Championship side has attempted more shots from their opening two games in 2015-16 than the Royals (27), although they have only scored once so far.

Really?

I was about to post this, hard to believe, but it just goes to show what is counted as shot does not necessarily mean a decent chance.

Are you questioning the validity of such stats snowball?

Whoscored.com suggests we have had 34 shots in our 2 games (20 at Brum, 14 V Leeds) with 10 of those being on target for our 1 goal.

We are 3rd in the Shots per game stats and 4th for shots on target but 22nd on Goals per game.

As I didn't go to Birmingham, I don't HAVE an opinion, but the home game v Leeds was not exactly "shots raining in on goal", was it.

The 14 shots figure against Leeds suggests that stats from this source should be completely disregarded

Even the RFC (usually kind) match report has few shots
