Feels a bit low for me. Leicester's old Filbert Street in 37th. Ours in terms of looks and facilities wipes the floor with that.

And Highfield road was a dump, at least for away fans, still recall the smell of piss in that odd entrance way. Vile, and poor visibility at front of stand, almost pitch level

Agreed, having a decent pub 10 minute's walk from the ground is certainly more important than being able to see the goal 20ft in front of you from the second row of the top tier. Also agree that vis-a-vis the surrounding area. The stroll trough the council estates of Shepherds Bush certainly rivals the walk through Bishops Park on the way to Craven Cottage.

Seems fair. Identikit Stadium nowhere near the town and road access planned by the councils work experience. Doesn't offer any more or less than a lot of league 1 stadiums now.

Would be interesting to think what a stadium built from new under the Thai ownership would look like. My feeling is the Euro cake stand would be like the Kop end.

Despite the irony in your post I actually agree with what you've written. QPR is a proper away day with quirks. The Madejski lacks character as will a lot of new stadia on an out of town retail park, hence why I avoid it most of the time.

Clearly if you don't enjoy the grit of the Shepherd's Bush estate then "you and I see football through a...total different set of glasses"

Add in the long promised monorail and a pub (not promised but a supporter can dream) and we'd be looking at top 10 material.
