CONFIMRED - Matej Vydra

by Holding Out Hope » 20 Aug 2015 13:22

According to Sky Sports, Watford may be keen on loaning Vydra out for the season, if that is the case then i would love to see us go in for him! Proven scorer at this level and would be cheaper than splashing out on a striker which doesn't appear likely. Nottingham Forest appear to be the front runners for him but surely we would be a better option?

Thoughts?

A chemical reaction happens if you mix together an acid and a base.

That'd do nicely but I'd rather we bought him. He too needs to settle at some point.

His agent suggests we are one of the clubs who are monitoring him.

Considering his record in this division I wouldnt be suprised if most of the clubs have enquired. He wont be short on choice if watford allow him to go out on loan.

I'm at full mast at the prospect of this.

On paper he would seem like a great signing, but i'm not sure how quick he is and we need a pacey forward to scare defenses "a la Bournemouth" with Wilson & King. But i must admit, a Sa and Vydra pairing with Hurtado and McCleary on the wings would scare the life out of most Championship defenses. I still have a feeling that when fit, a Sa and Pog partnership with our wingers would tear apart most defenses.

I'm interested to see what you've based your opinion on Hurtado from? Have you seen something a lot of us haven't?

Hopefully some distant WBA connections could see this one through as he's exactly the kind of guy with an eye for goal we need at the moment

"Ill-suited to playing the lone striker role"

So how's that gonna work here?!

Regarding Hurtado, judging comments from Charlie Watts and the Portuguese source, as well as the sketchy u-tube clips he sounds like a p-layer capable of running at and getting past defenders with ease....

That's not his agent saying that, it's the guy who wrote the article.

Presumably if we signed a player like Vydra we'd switch formations to suit him...

Vydra on a season long loan would be a quality signing .

Clarke says deal is unlikely as Vydra will want to play Premiership football.

We shall see.
