Hurtado won't be playing on Sunday. He needs to sort out his work permit. At least he won't have the shit kicked out of him by Leeds.

I believe his work permit was all sorted 3 or 4 days ago.

No, he's lacking match fitness. I think I saw ten days mentioned somewhere, so he might be in for next week.

PeterReadingborn59 Like most I hope Paolo fulfills expectations and gives an alternative winger to McCleary, both working the flanks could be really good to watch.

Just hope the journalist comment:
You never know what you are going to get when Paolo has the ball. He’s really, really quick. That’s one of his best attributes.

does not reflect the same approach Marek Matějovský had, as Marek has skill but seemed to be playing alone most of the time with his teammates never knowing where and when Marek might pass.

Marek was probably the most skilful player seen at Reading in the last decade; just a shame he couldn't tackle or fit in with the team's style of play. Hopefully Hurtado will be more of a Jimmy Kebe.

Put him in against Pompey, would be a good introduction to English football and if he's able to stand up to the physical side of the game. In fact put Fernandez in also as it would be a good test for both.

Except we won't be giving him marek vs blakey.

Wouldn't even give him marek vs kebe.

The Matejovsky myth is still alive and kicking, no one has said the word "wavelength" yet.

Only at Reading, do we only ever appear to buy/loan players who are injured/unfit/etc.

After the lack of pace and attacking prowess we have had in the opening 4 games, I really hope this guy is as good as my imagination has made me think he is.

He's going to have unfortunately large expectation on his shoulders when he does play. I can see the 'He's shit' posts after two games if he doesn't instantly start scoring or assisting.

As many games as that?

I'm expecting him to skin the whole defence and set up or score a goal every time he receives the ball. Anything less and he will be on the receiving end of some much needed motivational booing.

Likewise Fernandez if he proves incapable of pinging 40yds passes onto the toes of his team mates or playing slide rule through balls with a bag on his head.

It would be nice if, for once we could sign a player who is ready to play. i.e. not carrying an injury, not lacking in match fitness and not requiring any kind of clearance. Fernandes and Hurtado's deals have been hovering around for over a week, in which time we have dropped four points.

To be fair to the rest of the team, Jonathan Bond dropped 2 of them on his own.
