I really don't think this rain is going to help things... I wouldn't be surprised if it was called off.

Surely Brentford are obliged to give an update as fans are still not sure how likely the fixture is to go ahead

wally bassoon I hope it gets called off as I cant make it on Saturday.

And last year they would not let me in as I was too drunk apparently.

In hindsight, a result

yep

apart from waking up in a taxi back in Crowthorne a few hours later with the driver demanding £100, then passing out again on my bed before throwing up all over myself.

tbf the stewards at Griffin Park were probably right not to let me in.

Their chef exec said on twitter he is very confirm it will go ahead and that they are ahead of schedule. Confident.

Would be nice to hear from either club some sort of update though as not sure whether to book train tickets

Whether that question was tongue in cheek or not, like Green said 'no chance'. When the lads were in the prem and we travelled up to Wunderland there was a deluge of rain in the morning. This led to the game being cancelled a couple of hours before kick off. Should have seen the look on our faces . We certainly didn't get our air fare refunded. I remember there was also a bloke who took his sons up there and ended up 500 sheets down. What with travel, accomm, tics etc. Sh*t happens.

Welcome to the board by the way.

O that's shit! I though I might be ok, as Brentford refunded Birmingham supporter up to £100 travel costs etc. for cancelling!

Hoping it gets called off as I'm at Reading so can't make the game as it stands.

I hope I am wrong, but I just can not see this being ready in time for Saturday. There also seems to be deafening silence on the main Brentford website too.

It would be a travesty, might actually have a genuine reason to stay in the boozer.

Surely you would just have a day in London if the football is cancelled?

apparently for the postponed Brentford v Birmingham fans who incurred travel costs could reclaim up to £100 http://www.brentfordfc.co.uk/news/article/last-day-for-travel-refunds-26.08.15-2647478.aspx
I'd be surprised if I get to use my tickets this Saturday as rain makes a match postponement likely as the pitch is liable to damage if played on, and could cause a player injury, if postponement occurs, the match will probably be a mid-week match
