Amazing first half, poor second, eventually got the win we deserved. Blackman needs to keep up these performances, he's been a star so far this season. Brilliant atmosphere as well!

Bristol Royalz Cracking fun, as everyone said great atmosphere great old school ground. First half superb second half dropped too deep.

Ratings

Bond 6 flap in the first half otherwise good
Gunter 7 good performance came across to cover superbly second half.
Mcshane 8 solid as a rock
Ferdinand 7 played well.
Obits 6 solid enuff
Norwood 7 great first half. Second half taken out due to sitting deeper could not find the space to get the ball
Quinn 6 kept running but dropping deep second half caused problems.
Williams 8 won most things kept breaking forward.
Hrk - 8 unbelievably had a superb 1st half won challenges superb assist for 1st goal
Blackman 8 mom 2 goals always dangerous. Nuffield said
Sa 7 great header tired 2nd half

Subs McLeary 5 couple of runs but didn't get into it.
Others not enough time...

Sorry can't agree with your rating for Quinn (9). He was immense until he tired with about 15 mins to go. His running off the ball, his control and passing were premiership quality. Ditto Kanu did not link well with Gunter, did ok but replaced at half time (6).

Lacoste The Sa song was coming through loud on the radio. Sounded brilliant. We sounded like a proper group of fans.

Well done all that went. Well done the team and we'll done Clarke.

Our game management didn't sound great second half however this will come with more wins and confidence.

Two home games to come. 6 more points and we will be well and truly in the mix.

Happy man tonight, it's amazing how one win can change my mood completely

Shame you couldn't make it. Saturday school? Paper round?

We family friendly types who made the effort saw the best Reading 45 minutes for a couple of years.

Oh, and here's another joke for you. A man walks into a bar... ouch.

For those who went but were too pissed to remember or those not fortunate enough to be able to go, here are the goals.

Great day out. The Reading fans singing the usual boring "this is a sh1thole etc" couldn't be more wrong. It's everything a football ground should be...terraces, in town centre, loads of good pubs. I'm actually quite envious. Superb first half display. Could have been 6-0 up at half-time had it not been for their keeper and the woodwork. Not sure what was put in the tea at half-time but we came out almost lethargic. Still, overall we deserved the win based on the first half performance alone.

Some non football related notes from Saturday.
1). Worst seats ever (upper tier) unless you are Warwick Davies.
2) Fabulous pre match music. led Zeppelin, Spencer Davis, Jam etc.
3) easy cheap parking and back in Reading by 6.

Great day out.

I should have known if I didnt go we would win!

Sounded like a quality day out in a classic football ground in a great location.

Pleased that Orlando got off the mark and that Blackman is finally showing his worth, he just needs to keep this performace level up. Well done to the team for getting a deserved win at last.

Glad to see some goals! From what I've seen of us so far this season we've got a pretty solid defence (sounds like it was on Saturday too) so as long as that stays that way we will be difficult to beat, just need to score a couple each game and we're winning!

Disappointed that I missed out on the atmosphere and singing, would normally be decent at Brentford anyway but as we were playing well and scoring goals I'm sure it was much better!

Still, pleased for the team and for Clarke, the potential is there, we have a half decent team now so if we build on this and put a few wins together we could be in a for a good season.

Having that opportunity to get in play off positions early if only for 24 hours would give everyone a real boost come week friday
