Depends what he's thinking. Goes to Chelsea, he'll (probably) go out on loan a few times, then (likely) sign for another prem team. Bit like Sidwell. Plus more money, better coaching etc etc
Signs for Palace, he'll be closer to premier league 1st team action, but (likely) less money, no premier league long term
guarantee.
Still.. I doubt he'll be turning down a move away, given that he's 3rd choice CB for a team in the championship.

But if we get him on a season long loan as well with no wages to pay, it may work out at better value for us.

If he goes to Chelsea you cannot begrudge him the opportunity BUT 4M would seem a very low fee for a player of such potential. And we would need a replacement as we look a bit short at the back without Hector.
