Elm Park Kid
LWJ
Stabilo Boss Simon Church replaced Bale"

Can anyone remember a substitution involving such a large gap in talent before?

Ali Dia coming on for Matt le Tissier will probably never be topped.

oxf*rd hell, when did Wales get so far up the world rankings? Who did they beat to get there?

I don't understand how you can have done well enough to get to top 10 of the rankings without qualifying for a major finals tournament in decades.

melonhead HRK has improved this season, and that should be acknowledged

all this h8ing our own players nonsense is proper gay.
he tries all the time. sometimes he fails. the end.

Yes believe he was doing rather well at Brentford before he got injured, so perhaps all is not lost just yet.

Believe they largely avoid playing friendlies against better nations....

Plus their crap results from 3/4 years ago are disappearing and no longer have much bearing on the factoring.

Expecting it won't be long before Iceland get into the top 10 as well

Just read GF...to find they've played the system deliberately. Fair enough.

Romania have basically done the same thing to exploit their way into the top 10 alongside Wales.

Not a bad plan actually as both teams managed to get seeded for the World Cup group draw giving them both a much better chance of getting there.

It's time to change the ranking system when weaker nations figure out how to manipulate it to better draws for tournament to the point they get in the top 10 in the world.

As may have been pointed out on other threads England's position suffers due to stupid waste of money in rebuilding Wembley in Wembley and the need to use the stadium for everything going to pay for it.

When the phrase wasn't "Church shins in a rebound" it was always going to be disallowed.

HRK had another good game, ran himself into the ground and created an excellent chance in the first half with a clever pass, not surprised to see him substituted towards the end. Wales should also have been awarded that penalty, if only the official behind the goal had gone to Spec Savers

Beating Belgium at Home and drawing with them away might have helped too.

I don't understand the big fuss about the rankings to be honest, we play harder teams in qualification so are therefore more likely to take bigger leaps when getting results.

Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing 3 of the home nations in France at least.

Yep, should be good, reckon 4 of the 5 will be there (depending on who Ireland pull in the play offs) with only Scotland missing.....

I seem to remember HRK had a reasonably good season about 3 years ago. And I am sure it is no coincide at all that was the same season his contract was up for renewal.
