Ok, so very early days, but Reading are SO much better in every department!

Well it is 1 - 1 after less than 10 minutes. Bad mistake by Reading to let them score and a quick equaliser.

Terrible defending, but Ward is the form goalkeeper at the club.

Our bench is bizarre. If you have five subs, why select three central midfielders?

3-1

Saints keeper makes good save to stop Liburd again.

Playing very open, no midfield protection for defense.

Saints getting way too many chances. Could've scored eight

Missing the Aarons in midfield, who could give us a bit of shape and help keep the ball and get it forward. Shaughnessy is out of his depth and Kelly isn't offering enough defensively.

Mixed first half. No control in midfield and too many defensive errors.

Send Sammi on for Shaughnessy at half time imo. Also far from convinced by Sweeney... when's Dickie's loan up?

Semedo looks good, but not nearly as good as Stacey.

Another goal. Long out of position, Sweeney doesn't stop the cross, poor communication between Hyam and Ward gives Southampton an open goal. 4-2.

Strange Stacey not playing. I thought he had returned from injury - or is he still out? Unless of course he is going to be involved tomorrow night.

Liburd really should have scored there - excellently rolled his defender but couldn't take advantage.

Our defence isn't very good tonight! Southampton a quality side though.
