Ian Royal I've got a lot of time for Burnley. They may not have hung around much in the PL, but they got there sensibly and didn't seem to bet the farm.

Although when we did this we decided it showed lack of ambition, poor judgement and missed opportunities !

We will need to score at least 2 to beat Reading and until we stop playing 3 wingers in midfield it doesn't matter who we play up front we won't do that.

Should be a balanced game then, given we'll play only the one winger in midfield....

Yeah, why can't you all be as reasonable, knowledgeable and eyes-on as Ian Royal?

It's all a bit sales pitchy.

Also the use of 'And who is likely to start for yourselves?' makes me simultaneously sad and homicidal.

Always get annoyed with this type of comment...

and you are outsiders for a spot in the play offs

Underhand dig saying that basically we are crap!

I may be in a minority, but I'd prefer we stay under the radar.

We clearly achieved that in 2012, and because of Colin's Sheff Utd it was well into the New Year in '06 before anyone really noticed what we were doing - and by then it was too late.

Don't get me wrong, I too am happy to be under the radar, but we are sitting 3rd for a reason and that contributor is just dissing our form and position in an underhand way of sorts.

We were hardly under the radar in 2005-6. Top 2 from late August, top from mid November !

In 2005-06, we disappeared so far over the horizon, everyone forgot we were nominally in the same league.

We should have declared at the end of March.

Watford finished the season in 3rd on 81 points. We hit 82 points after beating Southampton on 10th February.

What does it matter if we're "under the radar"? Do teams suddenly stop trying to beat us?

They may suffer from complacency or lazy / incomplete preparation.

But it's more about having reduced pressure and something to prove for our own players in the marginal benefits it might bring.

Also we're only 9 games in and after finishing 19th it's no surprise if teams didn't have us down for big things, even now after a good start.

If we're still going like this in Feb then I'll start dreaming, seen way too many seasons start strong and tale off.
