floyd__streete FoC - re: Blackfield & Langley. What is parking like? Any pubs nearby? And do they sell beer in the ground (expecting to be disappointed here)?
Directions : bottom of the M271 right onto A35 over the Test bridge, then left down the A326 -> Hythe/Fawley. After approx 10 miles passing Fawley Oil refineries on the left and Fawley FC (Waterside S&SC) on the right, leave the A326 and head due south onto 'Long Copse' - well signed for Gang Warily Rec Centre - one (yellow ish) sign for B&L FC at Newlands Rd - turn left and the Recreation centre is immediately visible on the left - Pitch is behind the Centre.
Facilities: Plenty of parking at the front of the Centre. Entrance to pitch is round and down behind the left hand side of the building between the Sports Bar (was open) and the 6-a side pitches/Skatebd park.
Pitchside Tea-Bar was open too - Hot/Cold drinks Burgers, sausages and (big) Chips.
Fenced pitch surround - medium sized seated stand - some other cover on the far side - by the dugouts.

Royal Rother They weren't promises, just ambitions.
Always dependent on an investor / partner and a lease. (Not necessarily in that order.)
At the time, Stott was confident he could push the notoriously slow Crown into granting the lease within a matter of months.
Reading between the lines, having spent thousands on legal fees and huge amounts of his own time and energy trying to achieve just that, at the same time he decided to do away with the playing budget he also decided it was not worth spending anymore money on badgering The Crown, particularly as the main potential investor had fallen into financial difficulties.
Obviously without a lease no investment / development could be achieved anyway.
In reality he had achieved what he really set out to do and that was ensure football continued in Windsor at Stag Meadow - the rest could just follow on as and when...

Royal Rother Colliers Wood 2-3 Windsor
3-0 HT, then backs to the wall. Not a deliberate tactic, just holding on for dear life, same as last Saturday, with more heroics from our keeper.
Another entertaining afternoon's footie but Phew!
