Congratulations Reading Ladies

by percy_freeman » 12 Oct 2015 06:44

Couldn't find anything so checked yesterdays result and the table and one more week and they could be Champions! Well done girls.
Hail the power of the edit button and I personally believe the Ladies deserve all the praise they can get and on whatever oxf*rd forum they can get it!

Bit premature, that. One week to go.

Poor old Percy. Bit too premature when it comes to the ladies.

Yep one more game and Reading arguably have the harder game to Doncaster but they should win.

They don't even deserve a place in General Football?

The women's game still has quite a way to go.

Even General sport might be a push.

On behalf of London Royals and indeed all Reading fans within the M25, I would like to also extend our congratulations to Reading Ladies on their recent achievements.

I there is no such club as 'Reading FC men' so a forum with that as it's title would be pretty pointless. The women's side is called Reading FC Ladies. It's clearly a different name !
But they are part of our club, and represent us, their success should be applauded and as has been pointed out many probably saw them as a one man team, which they clearly aren't.
It would be great if their promotion to the top level was matched by Reading FC in May.
Perhaps some of the in games next season might be played at the Madejski ?

Nameless But they are part of our club

I think this is to put it charitably, open to debate.

It's only open to debate in the same way we could debate whether Steve Clarke is our manager or Nick Blackman is magic.
If it walks like a duck, flies like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a duck.
They're called Reading FC Ladies, they wear Reading FC colours and were formed by Reading FC .
