RandomNorwegian There's a thousand English football-inspired pubs in almost every town in Norway. People need their English football, and if you tell them they aren't real fans, they'll be more offended than if you slapped their granny in the face. That's why only Ireland have more fans going to England to see football than Norway.

Elyounoussi is back, and is doing well for Molde. He did a fantastic match for them against Fenerbahce, even scoring with a diving header. Molde has even started opening up for Ole Gunnar Solskjær to come back to manage the club by letting go of one of the directors Solskjær didn't like. So that might turn some of the players wanting out to stay, even if Molde won't play in European competitions next year(unless they win the Europa League).

I can also add that Norwegian sides are more inclined to accept bids during our winter transfer window, as that's between seasons. Selling the best players in the middle of a season is how a team loses out on medals(yes, we have medals for 2nd and 3rd).

(I also see this is a really late answer, but for obivous reasons I don't check this forum every day)

Thanks Random-ers. Do you think he'd improve us, do you think we're still tracking him?

I have no idea how your current wingers play right now, but he should be an improvement to most sides in the Championship, and is quite a lot better than the Norwegians Solskjær tried to bring to Cardiff in the Premier Leauge.

Not sure if you ever tracked him, to be honest. Rumours doesn't stay secrets for long in Norway. And some newspaper would say "English sides want Elyounoussi" the day they heard, and in a few weeks try to name the clubs interested to seem informed. Like some newspaper did with Rosenborg midfielder Ole Selnæs - who would also improve almost any team, and I know some London-based Championship clubs are interested in. (It's most likely Brentford)

We don't really play with wingers at the moment. Wide forwards in a fluid 4-3-3 is closer to it.

And we've got a surplus of attacking talent now.

At the time he was right and whilst you can question the subtleties in difference between a wide forward and a winger, our style of play was especially representative of the former. SC prefers the wingers/wide forwards/wide midfielders in whatever formation we play, to cut inside rather than go down the lines and whip it in, and it's been really oxf*rd frustrating. Just mix it up.
