strap Clarke - go and do one you oxf*rd Scottish waste of oxf*rd space. oxf*rd charlatan pcunt - just like all the other oxf*rd useless oxf*rd Scottish tw@ts we've ever had as oxf*rd so called "managers".

And when you've oxf*rd off there - oxf*rd off some more, then oxf*rd off as below you oxf*rd Scottish judas pcunt.

oxf*rd CLARKE OUT!!!

Just my thoughts sitting on the fence.

We know you wanted to go back to West London Mrs Clarke but there's no need to speak to Steve like that.

This is a ridiculous overreaction, and that's coming from someone who tore up his season ticket when he didn't like an U21 selection.

Our manager considered leaving. If he'd left, we'd be in big trouble. So we want to punish him for considering leaving... by firing him?

He's going to have an uphill slog for the next few games, but I'm happy he's staying.

Crowbar6753 We are now 48 hrs into this saga and still nothing from the club, a wee snippet of info would stop a lot of the negativity currently happening. Also i want to know what the feck is going on. Please

Could it be possible that nothing has gone on so there is nothing to say?

You could be 100% correct in your assumption, and i really wish that this is the case, but surely the club have a social media expert and can see the chaos which is currently happening whether true or false and just a quick statement would help the whole situation.

All a bit oxf*rd weird this, innit?

1) The moribund, dour, alleged "likes a tipple" Sweaty's win record is pretty dire

2) He managed to keep us up - just - last season

3) Performed, I think, a minor miracle in the summer with the complete overhaul of the squad with some great business - and got the scapegoats playing, and bringing in the dodgiest goalkeeping coach ever (and a dodgy goalkeeper or two.)

4) Too many loan signings

5) A series of good results followed by too much tinkering and, dare I say it, the injury to HRK

Why in bollocky oxf*rd's name would he ever contemplate leaving RFC - with the Royal EP nonsense and barking Thai owners - having been backed and started to make an impression, for a team that is no better or worse, other than money, obvs?

Lots more to tell in this story..... unless he's a complete utter oxf*rd alcoholic Jock, which I doubt......

ps: I was almost resigned to the fact that Pearson would come here - except then I remembered his Thai previous
pps: Frankly, I'd have SSC back in a shot as DoF with Maccy D and Parky as joint managers

Until this drama I was 100% behind Clarke but not now.

Fulham fans are happy the deal's off as they want someone better. Some Reading fans unhappy the deal is off as we want and deserve someone with a better work ethic. Charles Watts, Tim Dellor and co were all convinced Clarke was heading out the door and have gone on record both written and verbal with their opinions. Senior players must be thinking wtf. Our academy lads being lead by example on how to conduct yourself, a clear message from Clarke was screw everyone.

I was a massive Clarke fan and now I want him out!

The situation stinks and his attempt to join Fulham has backfired. I really don't care if we win all remaining games and go up as champions under Clarke, he'll never have my trust. I back the Thai's to move him on before December.

By all means consider leaving the club to better yourself but this is two bob and fourth division. Get him out.

Whether we get the absolute truth or not.......why not wait to hear the official RFC and Steve Clarke line before running your mouths?

IF, it is as it seems, then SCs' position will be pretty much untenable.....IF there is a credible explanation, then we will have to be looking to reassess our PR teams futures.

We, the club and the players need a manager who is 100% committed to the club, his job and the objective of getting Reading FC promoted.

For whatever reason(s) Clarke decided that he wanted to look at/consider working for a different club. That proves beyond doubt (again for whatever reason(s) that Clarke is not 100% committed to our club, his job and the objective of getting Reading FC promoted.

He should resign and f*ck off to that greener grass elsewhere, taking his cuckoo sidekicks with him. LOL at those suggesting Kevin Keen or another of his mates would have looked after the team on Saturday had he gone! - I'd rather have the Mad Man in charge of the team!!.

BTW still laughing at the description - "with a face like a raped Vulcan"

Pepe the Horseman According to Alan Nixon from The Sun, it fell through because Clarke wanted to take all the staff with him.

Really? I'd have paid for their cab fare!

With a few teams not far below us having sacked their managers in recent times I wonder if Clarke had started feeling the heat and was looking to leave before he was pushed.
Still, as an earlier poster said, this has brightened up the International break by giving us something to think and post about.

Yeah because people in the public sphere are always so candid and honest about events that occur behind the scene.

I'd sooner believe a journo then a face-saving publicity statement from either Reading, Fullham or Steve Clarke.

Best case scenario:

We win the league.
And as Clarke's lifting the trophy Lady Sas hands him his P45 and says "Sorry, we've found someone better".

Likely scenario: Will soon be handing him money to get him to go away.

Truth hurts doesn't it?

Let's wait and see what the people involved say before we take the word of that bastion of Journalistic integrity know as The Sun.
