Just in a blip in the longer term plan.

That's football.

Not one to jump on bandwagon.

But

Clarke must go. He's just not good for the team or support. Get rid now.

Never been more sure of anything in my life. He is NOT reading FC material. SC and BMcD would be turning in their grave at this joker

Hopefully Eamonn Dolan.

If Clarke doesn't last that long, then Adie Viveash or someone like Martin Kuhl or David Dodds.

Coppell only managed to get the team to finish 9th and 7th in his first 2 seasons in charge.

1. The club has moved on...

2. Similarly expectations are far different

3. He didn't try to jump teams

The two really ARE NOT comparable at all

1. There's no guarantee of success. The football leagues are strewn with has beens.
2. Money buys success these days. £500 million is the going rate for the premiership now. Clubs like Reading aren't in the same league nor can they compete.
3. Look at his record prior to Reading. 6 clubs in as many years.

sandman Support the team, accept that being at Reading is just a job for everyone from owners to manager to players and stop whining.

I'd just like to say; our fans use of the word untenable over the past 10 days is pretty damn impressive. #URZ

not in a million years will Clarke resign.

Our board also won't be sacking him any time soon unless we drop in to the bottom half.

We know the performances have not been as we expect following the summer window.

But It would be embarrassing for the club and all those involved if we were to sack a manager whose team currently lie 1 point outside the playoffs.

Get some realism and get behind the team for Thursday ffs

Coppell is the greatest manager we have ever had. Clarke is a rotten egg

One thing is certain, the Phil Parkinson christmas song will be sung again on Thursday night if things are going against us. I want him as our next boss come what may.

To quote the chant from the back of the away end at Forest yesterday

"You should have went to Fulham"

Given the mastery of English there think I'm happy any decision over Clarke's future is out of our hands.

Surely it should be 'You should've gone to Fulham'.

Parkie would be a terrible choice if Clarke left. Nothing like destroying a club legend.

Also there's already a 20 page thread on this.

If we're keeping the board tidy then surely all Clarke threads should be merged into mine?
