Which one of these gentlemen, not currently managing, should lead the mighty Reading FC?

Dutch only when in Holland though. Double dutch when managing English clubs. The mere mention sent a shiver down my back.

Royal_jimmy I would go for Justin Edinburgh from Gillingham or Mick McCarthy.

Thoughts?

Justin Edinburgh needs a bit more on his CV, and Mick McCarthy is a Cock, as is Steve McClaren.

I would love to see Brendan Rogers given another chance but don't suppose he'll dob himself down now.

bobby1413 Not one to jump on bandwagon.

But

Clarke must go. He's just not good for the team or support. Get rid now.

Never been more sure of anything in my life. He is NOT reading FC material. SC and BMcD would be turning in their grave at this joker

They'e not dead.

Nigel Pearson is the man. Let's get heads out of sand.

If Pearson become manager of Reading I will have to consider returning my ST. I certainly would not renew next year. The man is a nob, bully, racist .......

He is not the type of person we want here.

I don't really like Pearson as a person, despite his obvious and respectable successes as a manager.

However, is there any actual evidence of him being racist? That's quite a big accusation to make about someone, and my memory (plus a little Googling) doesn't come up with anything.

I'd be first in line to buy it off you, regardless of it being in the West Stand

Why are people calling for Nigel "psycho" Pearson to take charge? The guy seems like he's having a mental episode (pot-kettle I know)

He's a class act, that's why.

However, it's been documented that to get him, you have to bring Shakespeare and another member of staff from Leicester. Also, if we are sacking Clarke, rather than him jumping ship, that's 3 members of staff needing to be paid for. Surely we can't afford that?

Leicester fans rave about the work he did there in both stints. He might be a bit of a mentalist, but if he can tone that down then he would be ideal to take this club forward.

Doing this list because it feels like when, not if, for Clarke

Unrealistic, but I'd be thrilled: (at least I didn't add Ancelotti to the list!)

Brendan Rodgers
Gary Monk (if he gets the sack - see Martin Kuhl)
Sean Dyche
David Moyes
Jovanovic (in a new job so very difficult - but did coach in Thailand so just maybe...)
Mick McCarthy
Gary Rowett

Realistic, but I'd be happy:

Martin Kuhl (caretaker)
Karl Robinson
Tim Sherwood (until end of season)

No thanks:

Jimmy Flloyd (Doing well, but still perhaps riding the wave of previous manager?)
Parky (needs to have done more)
Pearson (just doesn't feel right)
McDermott (sorry, but no)
Sean O'Driscoll (Hit and miss)
Hoddle/Curbishly (been too long!)
Steve McClaren (just don't warm to the guy)

Leftfield options:

Phil Neville
Clarence Clyde Seedorf
Jesse Marsch

So I assume you'll pay double as it is actually in Y 22? Don't assume too much it is never a good plan.

I know we'll never appoint him but Ancelotti is the man I'd want to take over if Clarke went.

My son worked for him for a year. The person you describe is not Nigel Pearson, no matter what you think you have read in the media.

Nigel Pearson would be an excellent fit for RFC, sadly he wants his backroom team to go with him when he next gets a job. They are currently working for Leicester City who are doing somewhat better that we are. The compensation for them will be astronomical even if they did fancy jumping ship from top 4 in the PL to mid-table in the LCh.

Sadly it's not going to happen for us. I would imagine we are stuck with the Scottish Charlatan for the foreseeable. Can't see the Thais being willing to pay up 18 months of his contract when we could have got that back as compensation from Fulham can you? So we have another 18 months of this nonsense to contend with. We can only hope when he leaves at the end of next season that we are still in the LCh. Counting the days already.
