Pretty dreadful slow paced stuff so far. Little tempo, as usual, from Reading and no shots on target after half an hour.

That legendary atmosphere really translates well on the TV

Watching at home I am finding it difficult to stay interested.

Attention span waning ...

I'm not a fan of these driven straight free kicks. GMac today, Norwood last week (we all know how that turned out). I'd much rather see us whip it in with some curve.

God it's awful, like an end of season meaningless kick about. Total lack of taking the game to QPR in any way, you'd think they'd be looking to press higher up the pitch at least.

Very little it in, but we look more solid at the back and it's nice not being completely over run in midfield.

Confidence is low and the quality represents that but I'm quite content with what I've seen all things considered.

I share your sentiments exactly, Old Biscuitman, and I'm also in my 68th season. Too many players and not enough quality. Too many loanees as well and Clarke doesn't seem to have a clue which is our best team. What he did over the Fulham job was shameful and I very much doubt that he will ever win over the fans again.

From BBC correspondent, Adam Williams

"And there ends easily the worst 45 minutes of football I've seen this season. Surely it can't get any worse."

Shape isn't quite there but better than we have been. McCleary playing well, but I don't think he really works with Blackman as they end up both hanging right leaving Vydra on his tod covering central and left.

We've had some decent opportunities if not actual shot based chances.

Atmosphere is flatter and less interesting than Keira Knightly.

Someone needs to have words about throw ins. Head up, movement and looking for the ball. Not wander off head down and then show for it half heartedly one at a time.

I'd just like to add that my view may be skewed by low expectations and having watched the most turgid game imaginable on Saturday. This is scintilating compared to Exeter vs Bristol Rovers in gale force winds and horizontal torrential rain, played in the spirit of the absolute worst of Burns by unremittingly awful cloggers.

This is world class by comparison.

It's 0100 in the morning, I'm mildly squiffy and have a full two days at the rugby 7s starting bright and early tomorrow morning..... please wake me up if there is a meaningful shot on target.

And only 47 years since my first game at EP....
