winchester_royal Posted on the other thread that Pearson would be my first choice of the realistic options, and I stand by that.

But I would love it, love it..

If we could get Mark Warburton.

I'd take MW too. Very impressed with what he did at Brentford.

I'd take him in a shot but can't see him as an option

Several 'shits'?!

I've heard the phrase 'polishing a turd', but that sounds quite messy!

I wish we could be a bit like Swansea, who hire managers based on some sort of logic, and process.

Who knew Laudrup was available? fair enough it didn't work out, but he was an absolute legend of the game.

Rodgers fitted with their style of play, a sensible appointment and got them promoted.

I have no idea if the following are managers at all but i'd like to see the sort of person who is young and has potential:

Michael Ballack
Jari Litmanen
Van Bronckhorst
Robet Pires
Marc Overmars

Someone that makes you think, ooooh he could be good.

I really highly rate Hughton but obvs he is at Brighton.

That sounds like a messy process. I wouldn't want to be next in the queue, that's for sure.

He's done what Clarke should have done, come out and publically rejected the move saying "thanks for linking me, very flattering, but it's disrespectful to both clubs, and I'm happy at Rangers"

No outstanding candidate really. Pearson and Sherwood, with their massive egos and poor attitudes, are unsuited to Reading and would just be another Adkins/Rodgers type appointment.

Personally I'd try and get Rowett or Edinburgh but our fans have shown in recent weeks that they are are against anyone who talks to another club whilst in post so that rules them out and (thankfully) rules out the return of Phil Parkinson as well.

Coppell with Murty as his assistant. I look forward to Champions league football in a couple of seasons time.

Seriously though, I'd take Pearson.

No one has mentioned Ian Holloway.

If we're not going up, then Holloway for the post match interviews.

Clearly capable of bringing passion to a team and did get Blackpool promoted (only to then be hamstrung by his board)

Lacoste
