genome You're looking for £110 return, even via London

OUT

this may be a separate thread but...

Can anyone tell me WHY in the name of all that is holy is train travel so fcking expensive?

It's cheaper flying to European countries than hopping on a train in England for a 150-200 mile journey.

Sort it out government people

I've been up in Scotland trying to get to Manchester and with the recent weather they've literally closed the entire Preston north line. The alternative would have been to get a £140 train which took 6 hours and zig zagged across the entirety of the north east.

So naturally I booked a fight for £85 which took an hour.

Trains in this country are oxf*rd shit and I do my best to avoid them at all costs. Expensive too. How Reading to Padington is £18 is anyone's guess....

Did anyone here go to the league game there last season? Just wondering whether to bother with either of these this season

£45 on a weekday!

Huddersfield is marginally better than my original guess of Hull but not inspiring enough to take the day off work.

I went to the cup game up there last year, but not the league game. Pretty dull tbh.

Got my tickets for this today.

£24.40 return from London, pretty reasonable.
