Sutekh Would have been the owner's decision to remove the manager. Nigel would have acted after discussions with Anton and JM. Of course the debate then is who instigated those discussions.

Brian himself confirmed Anton called him in and spoke to him personally, along with Nicky Hammond. I've not heard Howe's name mentioned in the sacking, so I'm not sure how much he was actually involved.

Alright, Howe gets a pass here.

moonwalklikebas I really hope its not Mcdermott. I think it will still be Garcia.
Everyone needs to hop off the Mcdermott train....nothing official has been announced yet.

Brian is a rich man now....why leave a (good) job-for-life to manage a team that will eventually lead to his sacking......fe's just making sure that everything is as he wants it. Meanwhile RFC are trying to force the issue by name-dropping Garcia etc to hurry things along a bit.AthleticoSpizz Would McD want the hassle of it all again?
Leaving a very-much secure role at Arsenal to join a what will inevitably end-in-tears (one day) job at Reading may not be quite so attractive
Globe trotting scouting > trips to Blackburn Bolton etc

Hoop Blah Can someone make a good case for Garcia? I don't see that he's got a lot going for him really.

Only that Watford and Brighton were really good performers under his stewardship. Both lost out in playoffs I believe so actually sounds like he would be the ideal Reading manager.

He only managed Watford for a handful of games though (just checked, 4 games!).
Was his Brighton team that good though? They beat us to that last play off place one point and scored 15 goals less yet I read they were this good side full of attacking flair and endeavour.
