Top Flight
Top Flight Finally he has allowed one question through on his conduct:

These questions posed by some bloke called Green

"Do you feel getreading's credibility has taken a battering this week? To what extent do you scrutinise your sources before "breaking" a story?"

Check this out for his response:

"@Green: Not at all. You honestly think I would go with a story like that if I wasn't totally convinced it was happening. Sometimes things change that are out of your control. Trust me, when I published that story everyone, right to the top of the club, were expecting Brian to appointed later that day."

Fair answer tbf! I'd love to know what changed Brian's mind.

Ha, what makes you think it was Brian that had the change of heart?

I think my work here is done lads but thanks for the support. He's commented on the comments to my question too, he's not dodging anything. Pizza aside.

Top Flight There are a lot of questione being posed to Charles that he couldn't possibly know the answers to like this one:

"If Brian does return do you see him bringing back any old players/staff? Sal bibbo etc."

Why ask Charles that question? I don't give a sh*t what Charles thinks. That question should be posed to Brian in his first press conference if he actually gets the job.

Think you need to put the pitch forks away tbh mate.

It is an intriguing answer. Was it Brian that changed his mind or as Charles suggests the Thai owners have not yet rubber stamped it, still perhaps wanting to consider other options. Maybe they have been seduced by a big name megastar who has turned their heads.

Maybe Arsenal were asking for a release fee so they've sent Brian back in the hope they then do what we did to Clarke and sack him so we can sign him for free

Slough Town came in with a late offer and understandably he wants time to consider all angles.

Maybe they're having second thoughts and plan to reinstate Steve Clarke?

This question coming through:

"But why did you announce his definite appointment if it had not been confirmed by the club?"

Charles answer:

@Simon: I actually said he was 'set to be announced' (which he was)

That is not quite true from old Charlie boy as we know. Not that it matters. We are all allowed to make mistakes. But just Fricking admit it.

I don't want his opinion. I want accurate news. That's all.

Why did GetReading post the BM unveiled as Reading manager headline on Wednesday evening, when obviously, he had not?

@Cranegod: Because it was a scheduled post that had been done earlier in the day by someone in the office (I was on a day off). It was done at a time when we were still expecting the announcement to come, unfortunately those in the office forgot to unschedule it before it went live.

I called it on page 20 8)

genome If that is the case then it was clearly just an error - perhaps they had got the article ready for publication but accidentally published it. Also, not sure how much you could blame Charles for that, seeing as he wasn't actually working...

Fair enough, at least he has answered the question.

I think this has worked out negatively for Brian anyway.

Initially there was much euphoria for a return of Brian and we were mainly being kind and polite to the guy beleiving that he was coming back to us as boss and remembering all the good times and giving him the benefit of the doubt for what many believe was cr*p football played under him.

But since his appointment has been retracted, alot more negativity about him has come to the fore and the feeling doesn't seem as positive any more.

It might still be online only unindexed/unpublished.... much like the secret HNA pages e.g http://hobnob.royals.org/yes.html or even the old hidden Southbank Board (I don't hat address memorised).

Makes you wonder what other pre-written stuff getreading have on standyby - probably some obituaries for famous locals or the Queen with photos of her many visits to Reading.

No-one has retracted his appointment. He's still the favourite and is still expected to take over.
