Our average gate is around 17k, the seasons immediately following relegation see us retain around 19k but then it drops to our average.

The last thing we should be thinking about is a stadium expansion tbh.

Since we can't fill the ground how about taking out half the north stand seats, level it to the back and create a stage area for music events. Comedy events and the like. Even an ice rink.

So, this new big screen that supposedly will improve the laughable match day experience.. will we lose more seats to accomodate it? I assume so.

Our screen is totally and utterly useless in the way it's being utilised. Apart from showing half time scores, advertising, the line up, what does it show? Just a live broadcast of the game?

Even at Nottingham Forest, seeing their screen was used far better, with highlights of chances. Arsenal show the team line up for both team, with symbols next to players with yellow cards, or who have been subbed, or scored.

New screen - yea, ok, but at least fcuking use it properly.

Did anyone see the picture of the new screen? Jonathan chappie at GetReading posted it a few days ago. It's amazing. It looks the f**king same! lol. I'd have to see a side-by-side because I can't even tell its any bigger.

So looking at those two pictures I would say it's 4 seats wider and 6 rows deeper - so yes it's bigger. HTH.

The picture quality certainly seems much better and the bit of the screen that does moving pictures seemed much bigger.

I didn't think it was supposed to be that much bigger, just better quality

I always thought it was a weird place to put it. Surely it would be better to have one at either end of the stadium attached to the roof?

Still, I suppose it makes the stadium look a little less empty.

Looking at the images, the old screen had a big advertising space to the right of it for V (wasn't very effective as I still have no idea who they are), This wasn't part of the screen, just a ad next to it. The new one shows a London Irish logo which suggests it's actually part of the screen and could be used to display anything.

I'd prefer a TV at each end like Tottenham have. One on the North and one on the South

Width wise it looks the same. The left hasn't changed, and the right touched the walk way, and if you look at the old pic and new pic they both still do. Depth wise they still look the same imho. Perhaps the screen is bigger, rather than the struture itself.

what is weird about it ?
Plenty of grounds have fairly similar layouts.
Why spend more than twice as much to do the same job ?
The economics of a ad Russian billionaire I feel....

I'd prefer a tv screen on the back of every seat, ideally with a selection of alternative channels to choose from.

It doesn't seem to be any bigger in structure, but it does appear to now be all screen.

Agree thought that it should be on the front of the North and South Stands. Everyone gets a good view of the screens then, and we don't lose seats.
