LUX I don't mind Mourinho. I accept all the criticisms of him, but he gives a "good" interview and spices up football, which needs it. Hope he goes to a decent club this time.

In what way does football need spicing up?

There's enough hype and bollocks about the game without a lying cheating misogynist twat being lauded as a media darling.

I doubt Jose is asking'how did it come to this'.
This season has all the hallmarks of him engineering his way out of the club with a large payoff and a number of more exciting openings likely to come up in the near future.
He'll be as happy as anything.

If you were a journalist having to sit through hours of Fat Sam style droning on and on press conferences you'd welcome him just for something a bit different.

This is a very long but interesting take on Mourinho and his fall from grace....

Exactly. Football is entertainment. Jose certainly gives that.

It would be a dull, dull game if every manager was like Brian McDermott.

Mr Angry but to employ Hiddink because of a half season of success 6 Years ago (and despite his serial failures since - including most recently his inability to get a Dutch team that finished 3rd in the 2014 World Cup to qualify for the Euros where the number of finalists is the largest ever) is incredible.

Strange to say that really. Sometimes a manager just fits at a club. Yes he won't be the permanent successor to Jose but he's a friend of Roman and the players seem to like him. The manager Chelsea want isn't currently available, so why not have an interim manager like Hiddink?

McDermott didn't do very well at Leeds, but I suspect you've welcomed him back with open arms.......

Would probably be better if the entertainment was done on the pitch rather than just in press conferences. He was a breath of fresh air a decade ago but now its more laughing at him not with him. Shame as he really is an excellent coach but the baggage he brings these days isn't doing him any favours.

So would I Kes, so would I. TBH I've always liked him until this season, I just think its got to the stage where his behaviour is overshadowing his coaching skills. He's far, far better than just becoming being a rich man's Warnock. Maybe this will make him re-evaluate his methods.

He's a lying egotistical bully.

Football is better off without him. Sports journalism isn't.

They'll be fine about it. We're quite unique as a club where we respect former players/managers. Most other clubs, if they had a keeper like Cech, they wouldn't sell him to Arsenal. Likewise with Lukaku or Sturridge.

You can't be 'quite unique', and there are certainly clubs who show respect to past servants. Chelsea don't seem to respect current players (and have shameful history in that respect) so claiming a special status is a bit unconvincing !

Yeah CheLOLsea treatment of ex players like Peter Osgood (A CheLOLsea hero I think) and club doctors (Eva Carneiro ) is unique
