Ady Williams annoyed about the fee, it's a good fee for an out-of-contract striker with 18 goals in 113 appearances

Mick Gooding upset because Blackman hasn't returned his lawnmower.

bcubed Will be sorry to lose him but only because I like the song!
It's a generic song, stick another players name in although maybe you will need to swap scores goals for concedes goals.

Well those two posts above sum up what's wrong with the BBC Berks team.

Dellor is too much of a one-eyed fan who should really be a bit more of a neutral broadcaster and Ady, bless him, just doesn't quite see the bigger picture.

I like a lot about their coverage but it's a bit amateurish at times.

Do you remember being as disappointed with the club selling a player? What a shambolic couple of months @readingfc.

Tim Dellor ‏@TimDellor 38m38 minutes ago
Who in now? Will they get anyone in? Would Blackman have gone if he'd been played in the correct position? Was he Reading's best player?

Great news for @dcfcofficial signing Blackman. Shockingly bad news for @readingfc. I get the contract up in summer - but bad, bad, bad.

howser I look forward to the next 48 hours when we name our new striker, as we wouldn't have let Blackman go if we didn't have a replacement ready to come in, after all that would be pretty stupid wouldn't it ???

He has already been replaced - the new player comes into the squad on Jan 28th. It is Dominic Samuel. It is the Reading way.

On a serious note I cannot see any point adding another striker unless another one of the current lot go. Any chance of promotion this season went with Blackman and so we might as well go with what we have and build for next season. Therefore, personally I would much rather we use Vydra and Sa and give Samuel and Liburd a go as back up until the end of this season and then add next summer if we need to. Who knows one of young players might score a few.

Apparently in his first interview for Derby he says he prefers to play down the middle. No surprise there but will be interesting* to see where Derby play him.

He's in trouble if he thinks he'll play there ahead of Chris Martin.

I figure he'll be busy with the promotion of his new album.

If he is an arrogant so and so as some say, it would be quite amusing to see Derby's team spirit ebb away and their promotion attempt fall away as he upsets the whole squad. We can but hope.... Maybe that is Brian's cunning plan.

I really don't get this train of thought.

Yeah, he's scored more of our goals this season than anyone else but I really do think we'll be a better team without him and that without his selfish play others will find their way in front of goal.

I don't think we'll get promoted, but I didn't think we would yesterday morning either. I certainly don't think selling off such an average player for a great price has diminished those chances.
