Armadillo Roadkill Ricky Newman.
Maybe not the most unsung, but a versatile player who was always good when we were legally rubbish.
Actually, I just thought it would be fun to remind you all of Ricky, just in case he'd slipped your minds.

sandman Nicky Forster.
Cureton got all the credit whilst Forster got on with being the best player in the team despite many fans begging for the one trick pony to start in his place.

Against my better judgement of starting more 'highbrow interaction' with you 'mighty sandman', Nicky Forster........unsung hero?? Surely an example of your legendary cutting wit there????

Nameless Calling Curo a one trick pony seems harsh.
Unless you think the same applies to Marcus, Ivar or Glenn Little.
Fozzy hardly had more to his game than Curo, although good to see Curo still knocking in the goals despite being into his forties.

Larry_Parnell There seems to be a lot of just remembering people rather than identifying unsung heroes on here. Either that or people are struggling with the definition.
Richie Bowman was here for around 5 seasons and won player of the year twice. Steve Death and Mick Gooding won it three times.
I think that pretty much counts as sung.
The correct answer is,as always, Jack Whitham. . 3 goals against Hartlepool and nothing else ever. Not many players can match that.
