If their Club Charter is to be believed, that certainly is true. FGR also has a long history of close involvement with local communities in the Stroud valleys. And under the ownership of the founder of Ecotricity it is definitely a "green" club.

Whilst I am sure this is all very interesting, (and many thanks for the link to Irish slavery, never knew that - not sure many modern Irish people know about - my wife and family certainly didn't), does it REALLY belong on the TEAM board? Struggling to see its relevance to even the Club Policies section either. But heyho, liberal self-flagellating do-gooders have the right to freedom of expression too. Just wish they had been around in the 1600's to nip it in the bud when something positive could have been done about it - the likely response notwithstanding.

Of course, there is still the ongoing slave trade in the Arab world that can be stopped - but as that would upset our Muslim "friends", of course nothing is said or done about that is it?
