Only a loan deal now apparently, complete waste of time. 7 loan players, what a joke of a club.

Yes it would make no sense for City to recall him from an agreed loan at Walsall just to reloan him to us.

I'm shocked, it's almost like they're not actually party to the inner workings of every club and their transfers.

Having already had his loan cancelled, Evans was in the away end among the fans for Walsall's game at Bury.

I like that.

That does says good things about him.

I'm not convinced stacking up midfielders is the right idea, but if we're losing Williams or Piazon then it makes a bit of sense. And sometimes I guess you have to swoop for the good ones even if they're not exactly what you need right then.

And he sounds articulate and grounded too. Can strike a ball. Good workrate. Moves for a throw in. All from a couple of minutes of youtube, but hey.

We need to face up to reality. We're a club well regarded by other clubs for developing players over a couple of seasons and then selling them at a profit with City benefiting from this with decent sell on fee which will be part of this deal.

Let's face it the lad is not going to break into City's starting 11 to raise his stock value. This lad for Reading is not for now, but instead a deal done with an eye on future money in the bank as we float mid table busting balls to reach top 6 in any given season. If He reaches his potential playing in a decent mid table championship team then we'll sell him on as we always do. It's not BM fault. It's his job to get results, develop the squad and raise the playing stock value to turn a profit and cover costs.
