A bit of a clash of Interest now. I want to support the new owners but I find that they are complicit in the 'illegal' tuna fishing story. Not happy.

Pat Butchers Ring People will (righty) be cautious of new foreign owners and their motivation for buying a club like Reading.

I disagree, if they're going to buy any team its a Championship team which has demonstrated that the premier league will draw the crowds. A premier league club is pumped up for price and likely earning all it's going to earn, so you buy a club that if you get it promoted makes you a pile of cash. Much less motivation needed for a club like Reading vs a league one club with a long way to go or a premier league club already maxed out.

Surely it says his shares in a pension fund worth 50 million baht have been frozen. Not that he owes anyone anything...

Doesn't matter how much he owes and to whom. He's been arrested and questioned by the AMLO. Well well, who'd have thought?

He couldnt care less as long as he got his money back. He was in desperate strife with failing businesses and losing millions all over the place.
Im not saying his heart isnt in the club but its a lot easier when its someone elses money and not yours...

It was fairly sus that he was so active in the lead up to the take-over then suddenly backed out whilst still sort of hanging around a bit. Guess we know why now.
