wednesburysaddler thanks that's very much appreciated.

can I ask one question

is it easy to get from the train station to the ground.
weve plenty of time as train gets in just after 1 but is there a shuttle bus service and how often does it run?
and after match is it difficult to get back with crowds or do they put more on?

Do you know SaddlersBabe?

3-5-2

Cooper
Ferdinand
McShane

Quinn
Evans
Norwood
Tish
Williams

Vydra
Kermorgant

That would do nicely.

I wouldn't want Williams anywhere near wing back. He's too committed to bursting forward and defensively he's weak. Let alone positionally in an unfamiliar role.

And where's McCleary!?

Plus any injury / suspension in midfield and you have to change shape.

Switch with Tish, and McCleary is injured. It wasn't serious a serious suggestion anyway but that midfield 5 would be ridiculous.

Yeah, I didn't think it was that serious... McShane's injured too

Inauspicious start for George today. Brian's new Hope Akpan perhaps. I expected him to play with a lot more energy and fizz than he did today. Just looked pretty pedestrian. Not better than Norwood, Quinn or Williams.

I thought it was a debut full of promise, with a hint of class about him. Scuppered by a team not at the races in the first 20 mins, a Sheff Weds pressing high and fast (until after they scored, when they pressed well from the halfway line) and both him and Norwood effectively trying to play the same role.

They only played in their half, but I thought they pressed the ball when it was there until later in the second when Williams started driving at their terrified little souls.

Thought Evans recovered from an awful start to look fairly comfortable before he came off. It didn't help him that Norwood's passing radar was all over the shop for the first 30 mins!! However, Evans showed enough decent touches to suggest we have invested in a quality player. However, he'll obviously need time to adjust to his new surroundings.

Must now make Kuhl fifth or even sixth choice now (as I think Hector is probably ahead of him too)

Wouldn't be surprised if Adkins took a punt with him in the summer

I think he did. Adkins definitely gave him a few opportunities which dried up as soon as Clarke became manager

Make Fernandez a permanent signing

Their game plan was to score and then defend for 80 minutes.

Did Evans look any different to what we have already in the U21s?

With Evans being SO similar to Norwood, is there a chance we might be losing Norwood?

If we do play both, how exactly, can you play two QB's left and right with Williams AM and three up?

It's hard to see them both playing unless one gets a new role

I wasn't expecting him to be anything like Norwood. I thought he'd perhaps be more similar to Tish, or a cross between Tish and Williams. He certainly didn't play a box to box type role which I had hoped for. Didn't seem to have a great deal of pace either. Looks a strange signing unless we are planning for life without Williams, Norwood, Quinn and Fernandez

Looked like a player unused to playing with new teammates.

I really wasn't impressed, he didn't show anything for me that would put him ahead of Tish or Quinn, assuming Williams and Norwood are first choice.
