Im pretty sure the number of players who 'arent that good' who go on to be 'not that good' far outweigh those that 'arent that good' and go on to break the premiership's goals in consecutive matches record.

No Fixed Abode
Ian Royal Not recently it didn't.

What's it got to do with you anyway? Why don't you go back to GF and blaming refs for Chelsea's plight. Or being jealous of Liverpool's history.

Vardy wasn't 'that good' until this season. Now most clubs would jump at the chance to sign him.

I still don't think Vardy is even that good now - since he broke the record he's been average for them. Personally i think the players around him is what is making him "good". Put him in the Villa side and i bet he'll just fade away

So would Messi or Ronaldo, they really are dire.

Missed Blackman last night. If he had started, we would've won at least 9-2.

Derby fans I know have already asked me if we can take Blackman back off their hands!

Since he left, that'll be Vydra 4-0 Blackman

Bigger than the sum of our parts

Seems hilariously common to watch a seemingly great player for us get shipped out and fall flat elsewhere

Don't get why a lot of our players struggle upon leaving, perhaps we really were just good at creating a team of players rather than strong individuals, hell out of the 106 team who went on to have successful Premier League careers? Shorey, Sidwell and Doyle, then beyond that there's been Sig and Long of course call me out if I missed anyone.

So BM needs time to sort the team out but Blackman needs no time to settle in at Derby? You're judging his Derby career after 2-3 games?

Actually, to be fair to Akpan, he probably had as many good games for Reading as Blackman

SHunt didn't do too badly.

Little was knackered by injury. Convey was knackered by injury. Sonko was knackered by injury. Kitson was knackered by injury. Murty was getting on. Hahnemann was getting on. Really, the only ones who failed to go on to bigger and better things without something outside their control, or age, screwing it up for them were Lita, Oster, Ingimarsson, Harper and Gunnarsson. Two of who stayed on with us 'til the twilight of their careers.

Although Shorey having a successful PL career is debateable. SHunt a little too.

There's quite a bit of difference between a player and a manager. A manager is judged on results and relies on others to get them. A player is judged on individual performance and is less reliant on others for that. And also, we don't really care about Blackman now he's gone and this is just vaguely amusing.
