TheBiscuitMen We're the Barcelona of the championship.
Of course if the Walsall fans don't realise the chap over there is trolling by that line then they are a bit thick.

tidus_mi2 This whole thing is a bit special isn't it? Yet another club thinks we're tinpot and some are getting upset about it again, it's usually the last insult teams use when they have nothing else bad to say about the club.
You may not like Walsall's confidence but they've knocked out fellow Championship sides currently doing better than us this season so it's not going to be a walk in the park but it is funny to see fans on both sides getting a bit wound up when we have like zero reason to hate the other, maybe we are more likely due to the Play-off defeat.

That's the internet for you. I think people just have preconceptions about other clubs despite all evidence to the contrary, including the Walsall supporter who thinks we are a middle-low Championship team, when we've only finished lower than 9th in the Championship once in the last 13 years.

No Fixed Abode "Reading are a contender for the most boring, nondescript football club in the top 4 divisions. No characteristics, no rivalries, no personality, and only notable from our perspective for being on the receiving end of a whooping in Cardiff. A complete omniyawn of an outfit."

GreenBrum Royal Just to buck the trend of comments on here about the Walsall fans, I actually think they need a bit of defending. As someone who's grown up in the Midlands (30+ years), and knows a good cross section of fans from all the local sides, the Walsall fans are a decent bunch, very down to earth, especially when compared to their neighbours from Molineux. They've always been a small club due their geographic location, surrounded by the bigger local sides, so the fanbase is more the traditional father takes son family heritage. The club is certainly not the wealthiest, and deals with short term contracts, generally only a year at a time, so there's usually a large squad turnover each summer, added to the fact when a bigger club like us comes along and nicks on of their better players. Outside of Saturday, I shall certainly be hoping they come up this season, after a good few years of mediocrity and relegation scraps in league one.
So, like most of the stuff that gets posted on here, take what you read on the Saddlers forums with a pinch of salt.
Yeh I've always seen them as the Brentford of the West Midlands TBH.

wednesburysaddler hi Walsall fan of 30 years here.
please take a lot of no notice on our messageboard
most Walsall fans are decent like me and would more than buy you a drink come win draw or lose.
as stated earlier we have a very good away record this season but most Walsall fans know this will be our toughest away game and we consider it a free hit.
nice to have cup run its something we lack most years but league is more important especially this season.
hopefully be a good game bringing 50 percent of our very poor home gates but well sing al match and will be a no pressure match for us.
hope if you win tie you get a better draw in 5th round and get to them quarter finals.
please don't think all Walsall fans are losers we know were a small club and beg steal an borrow players you always get your idiots I no doubt you have yours as well.
lets have a great game and whoever wins good luck for rest of season.
