Would show a total lack of ambition from the club if Cooper is sold and I would be extremely gutted.

It wouldnt make any sense for him to go, especially to a team like Stoke where he wont play regularly and end up back on loan at one of our championship rivals. Not a good career move for you Jake. I hope you are reading this!

Thought Evans looked a bit like a centre back playing as an emergency cm last saturday. Big and strong, but not that creative. Sure got the build of a centre back. Early days of course, and he may be the next Sidwell.

Think Cooper looks like a real prospect. But not more than that at the moment. Judge him after half a season of playing nearly every week.

SCIAG If he does go, then we're suddenly a little short at the back. Until McShane is fit, we'd just have Ferdinand, Hector, and Keown, and one of them looks like breaking down at any second. Sweeney is also injured and Dickie is out on loan, so Hyam is the only youngster who could conceivably step up. Guess you could stick Gunter there and Long at right back.

1) McShane is fit
2) You couldn't stick Gunter at centre back unless you're insane
3) Do you really think we wouldn't have a replacement lined up?

U iz clueless m8

Hunts has done a decent job at centre back for us previously, and Wales have struggled by with him there...

Pile one on top of the other and it's still not a full Coopersworth of central defender !

I'm with Roal_Jimmy on this one. I thought once Madejski sold up one of the benefits was that, even if we wouldn't go and spend silly money, is that we would be able to retain our players. Ok so he's not our best CB but he's young and has shown great potential and with Hector going he's the most senior young pro we have. When was the last time we actually made a proper effort to keep a player - it seems that at the first offer or there abouts they are off, something which was understandable in the past but harder to swallow these days.

I don't for one minute have any confidence that we "have lined up a replacement" or indeed we will adequately find one any time soon.

To be fair I am not sure that the club could reasonably turn down 5M - provided it was upfront and not say 1M plus lots of add ons.

But it would almost certainly be a terrible move for Cooper. Yet another young player who would sacrifice playing regularly for sitting on a PL bench and most likely never playing much - like so many before him.

Hope for his sake it does not happen as he could become a regular with RFC.

I hope there is less truth in this than "Clarke is now the Fulham manager" quoted as fact by numerous papers and radio stations! Paper and radio talk is often wrong, especially when they make it up.

Nothing on Talksport website so suggest we all file this under currently completely unfounded.
Apart from CountryRoyal of course who can carry on getting really wound up about it.

By the way we're swapping Tishbola for a new set of track suits with Norwich, and Evans and Rakkels have been shipped out to Thailand to work on the tuna boats, which explains why we signed them.
