Been so much talk of Pogba or Hazard joining them this summer I wonder if they will offload one or two big earners (James?) this Jan and bid for one of them.

Spanish press reporting that one of the kids who's registration has lead to Real Madrid get this transfer ban is Zidane's son.

Awkward lolz.

Interesting that Spanish clubs are getting pulled up for this yet English clubs have been taking advantage of youth contract rules abroad for years now and nothing has been done.

35 Italian clubs from the top 2 divisions in Italy are under investigation for tax fraud based around falsifying player transfers. AC Milan confirm they are one of the clubs being investigated.

Police have been given search warrants to carry out asset seizures.

demoting 35 clubs could be tricky :D

They did a mass demotion recently, but it was a handful and in the regional leagues.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick

by ice123 » 01 Feb 2016 07:47

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid thrashed Espanyol to cut the gap between themselves and La Liga leaders Barcelona to four points.

Real scored three goals in the first 16 minutes, with Karim Benzema heading the first from James Rodriguez's cross.

Ronaldo added a penalty, before Rodriguez scored with a deflected shot.

A fizzing Ronaldo strike made it 4-0 by half-time, and he completed a hat-trick by heading in a Jese cross, before Oscar Duarte scored a late own goal.

Ronaldo is having an odd season. When you watch him he is clearly a shadow of the player he used to be, he has lost a yard of pace and his shooting is all over the place. The fans are on his back all the time and they want to cash in on him while they can. Yet he is the leagues top goalscorer.

Saw a breakdown of his goals this season. Scores loads against terrible teams. struggles against good teams.

19 league goals this season which is made up of 8 against Espanyol, who are 1 point above the relegation zone, and his others were against Levante, Getafe, Sporting Gijon, Rayo Vallecano, Las Palmas & Eibar. No goals against top 6 teams.

Leroy Lita - just turned 31, playing in the Greek 2nd division for a team who are out of the relegation zone on goal difference.

Had a look, hadn't realised his career record was so poor. We bought him on the back of his 24 league goals for Bristol City, and he got 12 for us in the subsequent 05-06 season.

Only one other season (10-11) in a 14 year career where he has topped 7 league goals.

He wasn't *great* for us.

Reasonable championship record before the broken leg. Pish all for us until a spell of about 2 months were everything he touched turned to GOALS then pish all again.

In his last 2 seasons with us, every goal he scored was a last minute cherry to top off a 4-0 win.
