Still remember him now in a Royals shirt and banging in the goals - or rather being on loan for 4/5 games and not doing very much.

Absolutely disgraceful move by City. Pell could win 4 trophies and still be replaced.

This Charming Man shunned.

Club on the up with a long term vision.

Man City will now dominate for years.

ask Bayern Munich fans what they think of Pep. They offer up a different opinion.

I doubt Pep will stay for more than 3 years so although he should have a positive impact I'm not sure he'll set them up as the dominant force for the next 10 years.

City know the pulling power Guardiola will have with certain players, so even if he does stay for 3 years the players he could get in, that Pellegrini necessarily couldn't, will be worth it.

That's because they are a bunch of entitled cnuts.

Their competitive record this season is a scarcely fathomable 25 wins from 29 games, with 2 draws and 2 defeats. They have scored 77 goals, and conceded only 15.

They won the Bundesliga by a country mile last season, 3 of their 5 defeats coming after securing the title.

He's being judged almost solely on this failure to win in the Nou Camp in the CL semi finals.

Season before he took over they lost just 1 game in their 34 game league season and they also won the cup and Champions League. He was always up against it taking over after that season.

Losing 2 CL semi finals is seen as not good enough for how strong Bayern are these days. If he fails to win the CL this season with them I think he would be seen as a failure there.

Yep. Bayern have gone backwards since Jupp Heynckes left imo.

Agreed that Pep will have the pull of top players but it says a lot about a club to get rid of Pell before the season is over when they're still in all four competitions.

In fact it stinks tbh. Far worse than sacking any manager after a short run of poor games. City should be ashamed at their treatment of him.

Oh goodie another overrated manager comes to England from abroad.

Man City will carry on just as they are now in terms of success, Guardiola wont make that much difference. And as with all managers he'll be sacked in due course.

His possession tactics have ruined football. Keep the ball, con the ref that every tackle is a foul, roll around play acting, get a man sent off, score when the opponents are tired of chasing your shadows.

Barcelona and Bayern now bore me to death watching it.

Possibly, but he must be in a small group of managers who have never been sacked.
