The main feature of Leicester's great effort this season seems to be the taking advantage of everyone else's utter complacency - Good on 'em.

But that shouldn't detract from the fact that they have won games. Everyone else has had the opportunity , only Leicester have taken it

I think that discredits was Leicester have achieved.

What you are terming 'buying success' has just been the rich clubs buying talent and that talent being good enough to win. This seaso that hasn't happened. That's not 'unfortunate', it's Ranieri getting the better of Pellegrini and Van Gaal and Wenger. Leciester's success doesn't come with an asterisk. City bought Sterling, Otamendi and De Bruyne in the summer, United went for Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Martial and Depay, and kept De Gea; Arsenal added Cech; Liverpool spent loads; Chelsea wasted money on Pedro and Rahman.

There's no 'fortune' in Leicester being top - their signings were better, their tactics have been better, and both Pearson and Ranieri have done a brillant job.

Not sure how to feel about what Pearson did there tbh. Got them promoted when they were spending big in the Championship and then got a 15th place finish on 41 points. I think the last few weeks great run leaves people with a positive overall impression when in fact for the majority of the season they were absolutely abysmal. Leicester fans are highly critical of Pearson claiming there was a lot of unhappiness within the camp, players looking to leave and terrible football to watch. For reasons I CBA to look into they put a lot of the good run down to Cambiasso.

anywho, I never watched them that closely last season and am taking the word of some of their wise-after-the-event type intermongs. basically, I dunno LOL.

Nothing wrong with a 15th place finish, and I think he has to take credit for changing the system in the last few weeks of last season and getting the results they needed. Huth and Okazaki were Pearson signings too, apparently he was after Kante too.

I like to think I follow football but I have no idea of the second and I didn't realise the first had moved.
