Why isn't goal line technology being used in the CL?

2 decisions in 2 days could have relied on it, first was the 2nd Olympiakos goal fully over? And the Man City first goal, well the shot that clearly went over was not given

Why aren't the CL using the technology?

They've got the two extra linesmen for all the use they've been.

The best thing about last night was hearing the Borussia centre back shouting "oh fuck off" very loudly when the penalty was awarded.

The draw:

Arsenal v Barcelona
Paris St-Germain v Chelsea
AS Roma v Real Madrid
Gent v Wolfsburg
Juventus v Bayern Munich
PSV Eindhoven v Atletico Madrid
Benfica v Zenit
Dynamo Kiev v Man City

Ouch for Arsenal and not easy for Chelsea (considering they won their group)

Arsenal shouldn't be in this competition anyway - a shame for English football. Crystal Palace or West Ham would have a much better chance against Barcelona.

He's probably a Totteringham fan.
They could only dream of playing teams like Barca. There too busy playing teams called Handbags or something in the Euro Vase

According to my spreadsheet, only LUX, papereyes and Bandini know that. Which one are you? :o

Tbh, that's the sort of bitter stuff I'd post ( and mean it).

Hi Starfers btw, miss you.

Well, I was paraphrasing (and teasing) one of your more recent posts on the ArsenaLOL-thread but there does seem to be a distinct lack of crossover-thread-awareness on GF these days.

I am well LUX and I sincerely hope you are too. I am a bit shocked to discover that Brosef Stalin is actually Baines, however.

I agree with you.

Oh and the discussion over the lack of Goal line tech? You can blame your buddy Platini for that. He apparently thinks having two extra officials is a great idea and we'll probably see more of that in next summer's Euros. He's a twat.

The European Clubs' Association says it is having discussions with UEFA about a change to the Champions League which would make it a 20 team tournament made up of teams only from England, France, Spain, Germany & Italy.

On a related note, Radio 4 were reporting today that if the Everton sale goes through, then there'd be enough US owners to force through no relegation from the Premier League.

That seems unlikely but, also, likely.

From next season if you have a champions league game on the Tuesday then you play your pre premier league game on the Friday!

That's one for the away fans for sure!!!!

Blimey. Another game added on to the Premier League fixture. I don't think I'm keen on these pre Premier League games at all.

Remember we weren't going to qualify in 2012/2013 CL campaign until we won it in 2012. 8)
