V late to the thread here but this was my first unread post on the thread and it piqued my interest. Are STAR still going and did they ever comment on this? Or are they strictly apolitical?

Still going, they chipped in with a few articles over the years and we worked with them to try and get more fans on the board.

Ultimately, unless more people join STAR they're always going to be in a weak position as people won't see them as being total;y representative of the fanbase.

IMO they do a good job with the support and mandate they have right now. Sure there are places they could improve but again it's as much down to the wider fanbase to get involved as it is up to a few people on the management team.

IIRC there was a forceful response to this - possibly in the comments section or a counterpoint article. If I've got the right occasion STAR did push Tiger into facing up to a group of fans and showing some necessary leadership.

It might interest Green to know STAR has been criticised by elements of its membership for being too political - regarding our anti-stance on the Checkatrade Trophy. As for "still going" - you cheeky xxx!

Appreciate Wimb's supportive comments above and have welcomed the opportunity from time to time to put our point of view on TTE. In terms of representativeness STAR has one of the highest ratios between membership and home attendance amongst English supporters' trusts. We'd like it to be even higher. We'd like a more active membership. We're pleased to have three new faces on our Board this season. The struggles we face in terms of influence are common in English football.
