Nameless The art of actual football management /coaching seems dead

100% agreed, and that's sad.
Rodgers made plenty of mistakes at Liverpool, but working with a transfer committee that foisted players on him, losing two star players (and a third through injury), he achieved some terrific results by his tactical astuteness. Nigel Pearson can take a hefty wedge of the credit for Leicester's current position (as can Ranieri). Monk had Swansea playing some terrific stuff before they hit a bad patch, and Martinez has transformed Everton into a pretty blistering attacking unit (albeit their defence is bobbins).

But yeah, top flight football, even to some extent in the Championship, seems just about blapping a few names together and assuming it will produce results.

No Fixed Abode White Hart Lane is in a miserable place of London. Can't stand Daniel Levy either.

C'mon Leicester.

Agree about where Spurs are-one of the worst places in the country.
Would be glad to see Leicester win it , latest odds:-
Arsenal 6/4
Spurs 5/2
Leicester 3/1
City 13/2

Don't want the title to go to a London club.
City have more of the current bottom 6 to play than the others.
Arsenal have to play Spurs and City away.
Leicester have just one of the current top 6 to play but are the only ones not to have another game v (dreadful) Villa.
Spurs and Arsenal both have 3 London derbies to play.

As I see it Arsenal are very poor value at the odds.

City at 13/2 looks like a bit of a steal considering their remaining fixtures..

Nameless You can just see the chequebooks coming out again in the summer and more ready made stars being helicoptered in.

Yep. Liverpool have already started their summer spending by getting that Schalke defender.

Chelsea and City will have their big money deals already sorted too. Although who will be making the decisions at Chelsea is a little unclear given their mangerial flux.... United with similar problems about committing money without knowing who will be trying to patch the assembled cast or mercenaries into something resembling a team....

I'm happy whoever wins it.

Leicester is a fairy tale. Spurs play nice stuff and aren't one of the big 4/5, Arsenal and Wenger deserve some success for trying to play good football, going for continuity and being more financially sensible and City are hilarious.

Utd deserve a break in the wilderness and Chelsea are scummers. Liverpool are hopeless.

Yeah, that's why I said I was happy whoever wins it, because Chelsea aren't one of the contenders. I was just including the rest of the historical top cartel.

I don’t disagree, but short of buying Messi or Neymar, City threw everything at it in the summer – in Sterling and De Bruyne they ought arguably the two best young players in Europe, and Otamendi was considered about as good a defender as any.
United bought everyone and their mother. Chelsea were champions and added Pedro.
It’s just brilliant, utterly brilliant, to see the formula not working, and as above, short of buying Messi or Neymar, it’s difficult to see where these teams go next.
If Sterling and De Bruyne don’t win you a title, who does?

But, as has probably been pointed out, the loss of one defender this season has left City much, much weaker.

Football is an O-ring game - instead of identifying where you can buy in the best players, City might have been better served shoring up their reserves in defence.

Also, the United chairman stated about a week ago when questioned about Mahrez. Had United gone and signed a player from Ligue 2, with 2 goals in that season, they'd have been slaughtered by press and fans. Maybe if he was snuck away under the radar, but that doesn't happen.

This is also nonsense.

It might be different, but to see (and I'm using just the last few years of Champions League finals) Atletico Madrid/Simeone, Dortmund/Klopp, Barcelone of the tiki-taka era, Mourinho's Milan and, well, the shambles that Chelsea were when they won it all make the final with very different styles, coaches and systems suggests its very much not an ex-parrot.

God let it not be Tottnam.

Cannot stand their arrogant up their arse fans despite doing nothing for years. (Have experienced the twats)

They cant even sing the Saints song (Marching in) properly. Sounds like a 45rpm disc being played at 33rpm

For Gods sake even Chelsea and Manure fans are better than that rabble

One would think that it may be "slowed down" on purpose . And what on earth are they thinking still playing on the same ground in the same part of London they have done for years?

Just found my four four two season preview issue, I think their prediction of 19th for Leicester might be a bit off

Man City are probably still just about favourites for me. Leicester can definitely win it but need 30 points - that's too many surely? Spurs and Arsenal might seem to be better placed but will probably self destruct somewhere.

Keeping up the pressure on the chasers with late win v Norwich.

Spurs (home to Swansea) & Arsenal (away to Man U) need to win tomorrow to get back to 2 points behind
Leicester home again to West Brom on Tues which is again very winnable.
Spurs are away to West Ham on same night.
Arsenal & Man City play Weds v (home to Swansea & away v Liverpool)

Can see possibility of Spurs and Arsenal dropping points over those 2 games.
Man City could be playing Weds 12 points behind with 2 games in hand.
