Pray Silence for the most boring question in the world

...its been a while since I've had to drive to a match and I think the place I used to park has been demolished. So where is the parking nowadays. Ill probably arrive half an hour before the game tomorrow and Im resigned to handing over a tenner.

The big car park opposite the Holiday Inn (used to be the Digital HQ) is either £7 or £8 and tends to still have spaces half hour before KO.

I've taken to using the Mereoak P&R whenever i can be bothered to come to games these days. Free* parking and about £4 for the bus to the stadium.

Usefulness does somewhat depend on which direction you're coming in from though.

Cheers.
Im sure the last time I went past the area opposite the Holiday Inn that there was nothing there. Do you just park on the land now rather than the multi storey that used to be there? Same entrance as before?

Same entrance as before when it used to be HP. But there were signs up on Saturday saying it wouldn't be open after 23rd Feb.

I used a little place on Bennett Road on Saturday, only a fiver. Can't remember the name but it is a charity shop just before the bath place heading from the stadium. Only about 20 odd spaces though. I got there around 2.15 and there were about 4 or 5 spaces left.

Worton Grange
Reading Football Club would like to confirm that the Worton Grange car park facility will not be available to supporters from the beginning of March 2016 – due to imminent redevelopment work which is set to commence on the site. The Worton Grange car parking facility will not be open to fans from Saturday 5th March onwards, and supporters who have been using that off-site car park will need to seek an alternative travel arrangement to get to the final six games of the season.

I think this can hold 1000 cars.

Parking spaces will be at a premium!

Having Royal Elm Park built and the car park at the stadium disappearing would probably improve the travel time for those leaving the game by bus, particularly if the park and ride services to Mereoak / where ever do not leave until the final whistle.... Good news bus users.

I guess anyone who has paid £10 to be added to the Mad Stad car park list might as well ask for their money back.

luckily, for the price of a family season ticket upgrade, costing me only 25 quid, I get free transport door to door from the god sons dad for the whole season.

and if I didn't do that id just use the bus service which is excellent.

but if I didn't do that either, I would be outraged at this lack of parking provision
