SCIAG I don't think I've ever enjoyed a defeat more than our 3-2 loss to Man United in 2007 (?). We held them 1-1 at Old Trafford, MOTM display from Federici in one of his first matches from us. He was at fault for one of the three goals they scored in the first six minutes in the replay.
In the second half we were the better team, with Lita, Doyle and Kitson all on the pitch and looking threatening. Brynjar hit the bar with a dipping shot late on, which would have made it 3-3 and taken it to extra time.
Ah - gazumped by a few others.

Bryninho's header at Old Trafford will be one of my all time Reading highlights.
In the replay once we'd given them the 3 goal head-start and actually started playing it was a cracking game. I remember Fergie making a triple substitution in an attempt to hold onto the lead.

Jackson CornerArk Royal Really enjoyed the away tie at Man City in Jan 93. Goal from Scotty Taylor and we held on for 1-1. Cracking atmosphere in the away end. It was another step in the building process for Mark McGhee and the signs of a really good team were there.[/quote
Wasn't that the league cup? I do remember going to Main Road for a 3rd round tie and getting a 1-1 draw. We had a great away following that day made loads of noise I even remember the reporter on 5 live saying how impresed he was with the noise we made.

No Fixed Abode Does anyone remember that Bury cup game at Elm Park? I think Bury were winning 2-0 and the game was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch. Reading won the re-arranged game.
It might not have been the FA Cup though...

Dick Habbin's hairdo It's all about RFC vs Arsenal, 1972.
I think I can even spot me and another Nobber leaning over the wall at the front of Southbank.

Yeah, was there mate. Can't remember seeing you though. Absolute deluge....they opened up the Southbank so that us Tilehurst End regulars could shelter from the rain. I have absolutely no idea why, but we remained behind the goals for the LOLs until the Ref called it off.
