Royal Ginger
linkenholtroyal I have read somewhere that he is actually out of contract this summer may be the Tilehurst end. Which means this would cost nothing. so this is a no brainer really. If he wants to come it would be stupid not to from our point of view he would be 29 when he signed back so a 2 year contract and see how it goes.......

Nope, it was a three year deal, so it'll expire summer '17

Tilehurst got there facts wrong then.....

on another note does anyone else think we should give Ferdinand another contract. I doubt he's on a vast amount, he seems to like playing for us and at 31 he has got potentially another good 2 years at CB. Id give him another 2 years he is good solid cover that would be hard to replace.

Yeah I reckon so.

Cannot recall much wrong with his performances....in fact, on the contrary.......excellent " back-up" for those annoying cup games (lol) etc

Imagine that he offers a wealth of knowledge to the youngsters on the training pitch

Has been doing a creditable "Noel Hunt" within the local community lately

Top scored for Reading against West Ham whilst a West Ham player.

Definitely worth another go

I could see this happening. Rakels will start with Samuel/Kermorgant next year and Alfie will be our super sub

Let's wait for the rest of this season to complete and see whether Rakels can actually play 90 minutes and look a handful first, after all one Swallow doesn't make a Cormorant.

He did punch the ball in the net on a number of occasions. Can't afford to have someone who might get sent off for deliberate handball. Not to mention the damage his cheating could do to the club's reputation.

Plus, French name.

Rumour - ALF to return...

by TBM » 18 Jul 2016 12:57

Out of favour striker Adam Le Fondre has tweeted confirming he is in training at Cardiff but with the Development squad.

The first team squad, like last year, have gone to Champney's Hotel and Spa resort after they reported back for pre season training on July 4th.

Le Fondre though was not part of the travelling party. He replied to a question on Twitter asking about his current status.

Yeah I'm training with Cardiff under 21s until there back from champneys

Cardiff fans seems to think he's on his way back to us....

Can't see it myself

if the price was right. I cant see why not, he would probably take a pay cut but if he wants to play we offer more to him than Cardiff it seems.
The only thing I do wonder is why he has never seemed to be a first team regular, he wasn't for us or Cardiff, does he have fitness issues?? I would rather see Nugent following Reach to us as his first team opportunities look like they may become restricted at borough. But if the price is 500k, we don't have a lot of money to spend and we still haven't secured a goal scorer of any substance I would definitely have ALF Back. He probably played his best football for us.

The rumour I've heard I'd that it's a free but we match his wages (£25,000 p/w).

What was HRK on?? that should more than cover it. It is still a worry though if they are hinging the forward line on ALF, from what the Cardiff fans are saying his confidence is shot its a big gamble.....

its not a case of weve lost one 25 kpw player, lets replace him with another

our wage bill needs reducing as we have gone from a 20 million parachute in 14/15 to 12m (I think)last year, to 8 this year.

No thanks, I don't think he offers a different enough style from Rakels.
