Three days before a big game, away at a Godforsaken place 200 miles away on a Tuesday evening, a much changed line up gets well beaten in a poor display. Based on recent history why would anyone with any ounce of sense predict anything other than an insipid performance and a sound beating? Hey guess what? An insipid performance and a sound beating occurred...and you want a f**king apology?

Tellor and Mick were giving it some on Berks about Hec being fortunate Wells didn't go down under a strong challenge from him. Apparently Hec would have stood a strong chance of getting a straight red, providing a sizeable spanner in the works for the Palarse game. So cheers for that Wellsy. Just as well it wasn't Deniss the Menace being challenged.

John Smith Make sure it's not on the terraces this time. Are you going to Middlesbrough?

oxf*rd that. I'm going to spray it everywhere when we score. (The champagne that is). I might be pissing off to go travelling but if I'm not 100%.

genome My point was you could argue Tuesday's back four was more experienced and capable of doing better against a side weaker than Watford were.

Ye, the whole team fielded on Tuesday was capable of winning the game. I thought he would have made more changes to be fair.

Completely agree. 'On paper' should easily been enough to get a result but the way we've been playing and our history with Huddersfield this season it wasn't a surprise.

Fwiw I wouldn't take any notice of anything quickwingerswife has to say, it's usually a load of bollocks and that's coming from me. No one made you go - asking for an apology? Give me strength.

quickwingerswife I'm still waiting for an apology from McDermott. He says he's glad it's out the way, no comfort to fans who were there. Cup tie is no excuse, an expensive side was out there. Worse than Adkins or Clarke evever were even in their direst monotony.

*cough*
Watford 4-1 Reading
Birmingham 6-1 Reading
Peterborough 6-0 Reading
